St. John Knits

I've loved and have bought St. John's totally American, conservative, luxury fashions in St. John's stores in Palm Beach and New York for years. I've found it ideal for work, for the evening and for travel. You always look polished in a St. John. My enthusiasm for St. John seems to be shared by women as disparate as Condoleeza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Gloria Allred and Kathleen Townsend Harris. Linda and I are excited to be carrying the line now in Santangelo and Sandridge.

St. John was founded in 1962 by Marie and Robert Gray. It grew from an operation in Marie Gray's garage in Los Angeles to an operation with 32 company-owned boutiques in 28 countries. For many years Marie and Robert's daughter Kelly was the face of the brand. Recently Robert retired and Kelly has left the company although Marie remains on the Board pf Directors.

In September 2005 Angelina Jolie was hired to be the new face of the brand.
