Luciano Barbera
Carlo Barbera built what is now Italy's foremost
textile mill in Biella, Italy immediately after World War II. In 1974, Carlo's
son Luciano and his family launched a second firm named Luciano Barbera, using
the mill as a springboard.
The Luciano Barbera uses the magnificent fabrics
produced in the family's mill in styles at the top level of taste and
sophistication in classically clothing for men and women. It's secret is that
the clothing looks so nonchalant and wearable while, at the same time, so
special and unique.
An attention to detail, a refined sensibility
behind unusual and delicate color combinations, sophisticated design, and
freedom from fashion excess, characterize all of the Barbera collections.
Luciano is now passing the mantle to his sons and
daughters. There are few family businesses in the world with the tradition and
elegance of the Barbera's of Biella.
